Haunted Houses in Tulsa | Haunting it up
Haunted houses and Tulsa, episode 20. I wanted to spend some time to talk about the differences of the other haunted houses and Tulsa compared to, in sandy farm. Um, in order for you to understand the comparison, let me first tell you about the sandy farms. One of the best haunted houses in Tulsa. And Sandy farms is an outdoor haunted attraction. And we offer three different types of attractions in our haunted houses in Tulsa. Uh, the first one is the field of fear and it’s Tulsa’s am eastern Oklahoma was only haunted corn maze. Um, it’s a really cool 45 minute walk through experience where we’ve got several different scenes inside of there. There’s at least 12 different scenes when you walk through. And we’ve got actors all over the haunted corn maze. And again, we wanted to stick with the farm theme since people are on the farm. So we have actors that are dressed like pigs that are just like goats that are dressed like, um, anything you think on a farm, like a scary scare crow or a pumpkin man. We’ve got all those scary actors walking around our corn maze and inside of our central area, urbay hangs out in which is called the midway.
Okay.
Um, with the field of fear, you also get to experience, um, Oklahoma’s only for deeds, for dbs, Zombie paintball experience. Customers will get immersed into a Zombie paintball experience where it’s a 15 minute ride, sometimes longer, but once they get inside of our containers, it’s a 15 minute time dried. I’m in the first container they go into, they have two different rooms. The first room is a video room where they watch video on exactly what the ride is and what’s about to happen. Uh, the SEC, once they walk into the second part of the container, it’s in another room or it also has a TV that talks about safety precautions and to aim and fire at the zombies as they come by.
Uh, the third attraction that we offer at and sandy farms, one of the best haunted houses and Tulsa is the chaos, a pallet maize. And um, you know, it’s a really cool, immersive experience. You can’t really see once you’re inside of there, the walls are over 12 foot tall. Uh, we have strobe lights on the corner, we have fall, we have loud music that place and we have chuckles the clown, the, uh, escape penitentiary clown that came to our place and reside is, resides in and sandy farms. Uh, so those are some of the cool attractions that we offer it and sandy farmers and I think it really sets us apart from other, some from some of the other haunted houses and Tulsa,
now that you know what and sandy farms offers, let’s talk about some of other competitors. Um, one of our biggest competitors is heck’s house. They’d been around for over 10 years and they’re a conglomerate of actors and performers that put it on every year. They do a really good job with their makeup, their staging, and really the Gore and blood and guts that you would expect in a traditional haunted houses. And Tulsa, uh, they do a really good job. They, they, they know how to scare people. They know how to hot people. Uh, so they’re probably one of our biggest competitors. Um, but one of the biggest differences between us and them is the price their admission costs a little bit more than ours. I think it’s $15 more than what our past is. Our past is $25. Heck’s house also only offers two haunted attractions were in sandy farms.
We offer three different haunted attractions. Um, and also there’s this, an indoor haunted attraction. Uh, they don’t get, they don’t get that real feel of being outside in the dark, uh, like we do at and sandy farmers, one of the best haunted houses in Tulsa and at, at, at, and also at Hax House. They do, they touch customers as they walk through a, they grab them and touch them as they walked through and they let the customers know this before they come in. But we really wanted to stray away from that because we felt like we don’t have to do that to scare people. Uh, there’s, there’s other different, unique ways where you can scare people without having to touch them. Uh, one of those is building scenes that are very suspenseful. Um, we’re, you know, darkness or like I said earlier, focusing in on people’s fears like we do it in sandy farms, one of the best haunted houses in Tulsa.
Another difference between us and Hex is that hex house offers a vip express pass, which basically you can skip the lines if there’s long lines at and sandy farms, one of the best haunted houses and Tulsa, we feel like we don’t need to do that. Uh, we can actually stage our customers. So there’s no what we call Conga lines. You don’t get those really long lines where people are mad that they’re waiting. Uh, we do a really good job since we offer three different attractions where we can disperse the crowd and we can also time it out in the coordinates and the Zombie paintball, since each one of those are timed and we can kind of stage people through, it creates no lines for people to weight in. And I think that’s a really great advantage. We have over some of the other haunted houses and Tulsa.
Another one of our competitors is actually a church. It’s God’s church and they put on an event called the nightmare and it’s been around for a least over 15 to 20 years. They’ve been putting this on as a fundraiser to help raise money for the God’s church and they do a really good job at including their congregation to come in and visit the attraction. Um, they, the nightmare really focuses in on a real life experiences, but puts in a religious twist to it, Haunted Houses in Tulsa, like one of their scenes as an abortion seen. They also have a Dui crash scene. And each one of these is really gory and pretty intense, especially for teenagers. And at the end of the attraction, they ask you if you believe in God. And that’s where the religious twist comes in. Uh, we try to stay away from the religious part of it. We really want this to be more focused in, on people having a good time and not so much trying to enforce some of our beliefs on them.
Uh, we really, we really wanted to focus in on people’s fears, their innate fears, like fear of the dark, fear of clowns, fears of, you know, animals and stuff like that. We really wanted to focus in on that. So I think that helped differentiate and sandy farms one of the best haunted houses from heck’s house and the nightmare hex, or excuse me, the nightmare is a $15 admission. It’s only one haunted attraction and I believe it takes 15 or 25 to 30 minutes to get through the whole thing. You can also buy an express pass to get through the lines quicker for I believe $35 or you can buy a season pass for 100. Haunted Houses in Tulsa, I thought that was interesting that they offered a seasoned paths. That might be something we look at next year at insanity farms, one of the best haunted houses and Tulsa.
Uh, but for this year we’re going to stick with the, the all inclusive past $25 past that gets our customers into our three haunted attractions. I’m one of the last, uh, haunted houses and Tulsa I wanted to talk about was, um, psychopath psychopath is probably closely closest related to us and the fact that they are an outdoor event or an outdoor haunted houses in Tulsa. They experienced the same issues. We do a, which is we are very, very, very weather dependent. Um, this year it rained five out of the eight nights we were open. Um, and so for the first year the rain and weather really hit us hard. That didn’t deter our hopes and dreams of what insanity farms. One of the best haunted house isn’t Tulsa can become a, but we experienced the same issues that psychopath has with the weather. It was really a bad year for whether a psychopath also, uh, has been around for a long time.
They’re actually not in Tulsa, they’re just outside of Tulsa and Oklahoma, which is about a 25 minute ride from downtown Tulsa and they offer passes for 20, 30 and $40. And one of those does include an express pass. But again, at sandy farms, one of the best haunted houses and Tulsa, we feel like we don’t need to do that. We don’t need the Vip Express Pass, uh, because we keep our lines moving at a good rate and make sure that everybody enjoys their time. In conclusion, in sandy farms, one of the best hot and houses and Tulsa offers so many things that some of the other hot houses and Tulsa and do not, uh, we really focused in on people’s fears. We try to create a really door, a really cool outdoor experience where people can not get that at other haunted houses in Tulsa.
